Infiltrating Enemy Territory, Days -4 to 1
Day one, deep in enemy territory.
We are ensconced inside of a large officer's quarters on post. I am on watch while Agent A rests up for his next mission. Agent P has gone to his first assignment, checking into the schooling command here. He will learn how their officers operate and share our more valuable knowledge with them in return.
On Day -2, we proudly flew our own flag in front of our established quarters without any noticeable opposition. We have also encountered other officers here through a trade of goods for money, and were greeted with friendliness and praise on Agent P's preparation for the school and his career.
The team had a pleasant trip to the forward deployed staging area. We made many stops, encountering other friendly operatives that supplied us with good morale, and showed us some of the local deities and temples along the way.
Agent A, incognito in the uniform of a "Major Cutie" reporting for "a doody" |
Operatives Shirley and Sandra, sisters to Agent P's mother, in Knoxville, TN |
The Deity Athena in Nashville, TN, giving us wisdom and all the #girlsruntheworld feels |
Operative Locke supplied us with intel and refreshments in Nashville |
Agent T has been standing a vigilant watch and was relieved to find her new quarters much to her liking here. She has been an extremely valuable member of the forward deployed team and will receive numerous peanut-butter infused commendations, in addition to any of Agent A's dropped leftovers.
On a reconnaissance mission on our way out to our station, we saw many interesting facets of the territories between our old duty station and the new one. We tried the cuisine of the locals along the way, which I believe was Agent A's favorite part of the mission so far. The local post exchange doesn't have much to offer and we must go far to reach our most familiar trading post, Target, but we hope to view this from a positive, money-saving perspective instead of feeling cut off from our usual supply chain.
Our household supplies should reach us by the end of the week, and we will be glad not to feel like we are "roughing it" any longer, especially with Agent A's, um, special needs. He's a real Maverick.
Headquarters Command should expect the next update within the next 72 hours.
Signing off, over and out.
-Agent MOM
